Youngsters at The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center in Newport, RI, receive Jester books from Mark P. Malkovich, IV. The books were donated by The Jester & Pharley Phund in memory of Dr. Malkovich III, Director of the Newport Music Festival. In 1996, Dr. Malkovich dedicated the festival's youth concert to Jester author David Saltzman.
East Greenwich High School teacher, Chris Boie, shares The Jester's story with MLK Jr. Center members. The center received additional Jester books and dolls from Frenchtown Elementary in East Greenwich, RI. Students there participated in a Jester Reading To Give program supervised by Boie.
