During the month long read-a-thon, students from Dooley Elementary kept journals to document their reading. Altogether, they read 323,954 pages. The school, along with the Employee Community Fund of Boeing California, was able to donate 35 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle and 35 Jester & Pharley Dolls to Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, CA, for use with their pediatric patients.
