During the near three week read-a-thon students from Jackie Robinson Academy kept journals to document their reading. Altogether they read 73,617 pages. The school, along with the Joseph Drown Foundation, was able to donate 35 copies of the bilingual edition of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle and 35 Jester & Pharley Dolls to St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, CA, for use with their pediatric patients.

The school, along with AEGON Transamerica Foundation, was able to donate 45 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle and 45 Jester & Pharley Dolls to Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, CA, for use with their pediatric patients.
