During the three week read-a-thon students from Kelso Elementary School kept journals to document their reading. Altogether they read 62,627 pages. The school, along with Anne Akiko Meyers & Jason Subotky, donated 35 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle/El Bufón ha perdido su gracia and 35 Jester & Pharley Dolls to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA, for use with their young patients.

The school, along with a private sponsor, donated 35 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle/El Bufón ha perdido su gracia and 35 Jester & Pharley Dolls to Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA for use with their young patients.
