During the five week read-a-thon, students from President Avenue Elementary School kept journals to document their reading. Altogether, they read 501,184 pages! The school, along with the Weingart Foundation, was able to donate 35 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle and 35 Jester & Pharley Dolls to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for use with their pediatric patients.
