During the three week Read-A-Thon students from Washington Elementary School kept journals to document their reading. Altogether they read 23,598 pages. The school, along with the Rosenthal Family Foundation, was able to donate 30 copies of The Jester Has Lost His Jingle/El Bufón ha perdido su gracia and 30 Jester & Pharley dolls to Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach for use with their young patients.
